Frequently Asked Questions — NyayaHQ

What is NyayaHQ?

NyayaHQ is an AI-powered legal practice management platform built for Indian advocates. It combines case management, hearing calendar, AI drafting (BNS/BNSS/BSA), eCourts sync, WhatsApp AI assistant, document OCR, client meeting recorder, and offline courtroom mode in one mobile-first Progressive Web App.

Is NyayaHQ updated with BNS, BNSS, and BSA?

Yes. All AI-generated legal drafts and strategy analyses are fully updated with Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). Old IPC/CrPC section references are shown in parentheses for cross-reference.

How much does NyayaHQ cost?

Briefcase is free (3 cases, 75 AI Credits/month). Solo is ₹1,499/month + GST (unlimited cases, 500 credits, 1 seat). Chamber is ₹2,999/month + GST (1,500 credits, 3 seats). Firm is ₹5,999/month + GST (3,000 credits, 8 seats). All new accounts get a 14-day Firm trial with no credit card required.

Can the AI hallucinate fake case citations?

NyayaHQ has multiple anti-hallucination safeguards: a low model temperature of 0.2, mandatory [VERIFY] tags on every SC/HC citation, empty-array fallback when uncertain, and a warning to verify all citations on Indian Kanoon or SCC Online before filing. The model is instructed to return no citation rather than fabricate one.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored on AWS RDS PostgreSQL in Mumbai (ap-south-1), India. Files are on Amazon S3 (ap-south-1). NyayaHQ is compliant with the DPDP Act 2023. Backups are retained for 35 days.

Does NyayaHQ work offline in courtrooms?

Yes. The "Sync for Today" feature downloads all case files, hearing timelines, strategy briefs, and documents for the day's hearings before you leave for court. Voice recordings made offline auto-upload on reconnect. Built on IndexedDB and service workers.
